Intercounty Connector (ICC) General Engineering Consultant (GEC), Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA)

Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, MD

Working in coordination with SHA and the Maryland Historical Trust, RK&K conducted Phase II and III excavations on the Adelphi Site (18PR1024) in Prince George’s County to determine its National Register of Historic Places eligibility and mitigate adverse effects to the historic property. The site represented a short-term Selby Bay phase procurement camp occupied during the late Middle Woodland period. The data produced during the excavations provide valuable insights into a little understood period in Maryland’s prehistoric past.
